Step 1. Creating a new profile

If you already have a FUSION GOL configuration, continue on to "Step 2. Configuring/Modifying SMTP (outgoing mail) server."

1. Double click Microsoft Outlook 2002 to start.
- If you already have a FUSION GOL configuration, continue on to "Step 2. Configuring/Modifying SMTP (outgoing mail) server."


2. Select "Do not upgrade." on "E-mail Upgrade Options" screen.
- If you want to import emails or address books from other mail programs, place a check in "Upgrade from."

Click "Next."


3. Select "Yes" on "E-mail Accounts" Screen.

Click "Next."


4. Select "POP3" on "Server Type" screen.

Click "Next."


5. Configure the "Internet E-mail Settings (POP3)" screen as follows:

User Information
- Your Name: your name
- E-mail Address: your email address (user-ID@gol.com)

Server Information
- Incoming mail server (POP3): popmail.gol.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.gol.com

Logon Information
- User Name: user-ID@gol.com
- Password: your FUSION GOL password

- Remember password: check
- Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): do not check

Click "More Settings..."


6. Configure the "Outgoing Server" tab as follows:

- My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication: check

- Log on using: check
- User Name: user-ID@gol.com
- Password: your FUSION GOL password
- Remember Password: check

7. Configure the "Advanced" tab as follows:

- Incoming server (POP3): 110
- This server requires authentication: Unchecked
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 587
- This server requires authentication: Unchecked

Click "OK"


8. Click "Next."
- Do not click the "Test Account Settings..." button. This function will always give an error even with correct settings.


9. Click "Finish."
