E-mail

1. What is the mailbox size limit? Is there time limit for keeping messages in the inbox?

The mailbox size limit is 20MB. There is no time limit for keeping messages in the inbox.

2. Can I send and receive E-mail via another provider?

You can receive, but in order to send, you will have to use mail software that supports SMTP Authentication and let's you enter your User-ID and password. For setup instructions, go to the Support section and select "E-mail" to find the mail software you want to configure.

3. When I try to send E-mail, I get asked for my password.

At FUSION GOL, we require SMTP Authentication when sending out mail. You will need to enter your User-ID and password into a mail program that supports SMTP Authentication. For setup instructions, go to the Support section and select "E-mail" to find the mail software you want to configure.

4. Do you have mail forwarding service?

You can forward to up to 5 E-mail addresses. You can set this up in the "User Settings" page. Mail forwarding will be effective in an hour.

5. Is there a limit to what I can send?

There is no limit in size. A given message can be sent to a maximum of 20 recipients at one time (including cc and bcc recipients.)

6. Is there a limit to what I can receive?

You can receive any message of up to 20MB in size. You will be unable to receive any message greater than 20MB. Also, you will not be able to receive any new messages if your mailbox reaches 20MB.

7. What is the SPAM Mail Filter Service?

To filter out SPAM messages, FUSION GOL provides the Standard SPAM Mail Filter (free) and the Advanced SPAM Mail Filter. If you would like to benefit from the service, you can configure the filter from the "User Settings" page.
* You will have to sign up in order to use the Advanced SPAM Mail Filter. For details, refer to the "Advanced SPAM Mail Filter Service" in Optional Services. You will not have to sign up for the Standard SPAM Mail Filter Service.

8. What are the security measures against viruses?

To filter out virus infected incoming mail, FUSION GOL provides the Virus Filter Service. For details, refer to the "Virus Filter Service" in Optional Services.

9. I couldn't use E-mail ever since I installed an antivirus program.

Depending on the mail program, the settings may be altered by the antivirus program. To check if the settings of your mail program are correct, please refer to the Support section and select "E-mail." If you find that your settings are incorrect, you should be able to use E-mail again by correcting the settings. However, your antivirus program will no longer scan your messages for viruses. You should contact the manufacturer of the antivirus program if you still want it to scan your messages for viruses.
