Is a router required for the service? |

The Static IP service does not require the use of a router. However, if you are using a multiple IPAddress package and have multiple computer devices requiring Static IPs, you will need a routing device to distribute the addresses on the network. Otherwise, for a single Static IP Address, a single network device can be used along with a PPPoE client. |

Am I supposed to use a straight or cross cable to connect the modem and my computer? |
